We just returned from my 31st trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I’ve been traveling to Disney with my family since before I can remember. Having gone to Disney during every stage of my own life and bringing a child of my own (when she was 3 months, 9 months, 18 months, and 2.5 years), I feel that I’ve gotten the packing process down to a science!
The days tend to be LONG and HOT (especially if you visit during spring or summer break). To me, this means a couple of things… I want clothing items that are going to keep me COOL and I want to be able to MOVE. I try to stick to light cotton or even athleisure-wear while I’m in the parks. There’s also a good chance I’ll be carrying a two year old around or, at the very least, pushing a full stroller, so full range of motion is a must!
If you have little kids, you know they come with a lot of STUFF. This doesn’t change on vacation – especially when you know you’ll be out of the room all day. We take a backpack with us into the park (though, I have to tell you, I’m SUPER excited for when we don’t need to bring ANYTHING with us into the park and can just walk in…). These are the essentials that made it into the backpack on our most recent trip! Since Pippa is newly potty trained, we also brought THIS foldable potty seat. It’s awesome and fits perfectly into a gallon-sized ziplock bag. I highly recommend it!

Something else that’s become SUPER popular in recent years is matching/themed shirts for the family! This year, Emily made shirts for the family to wear on the day we visited the Magic Kingdom (you can see them in our pictures at the top of this post!). She used her Cricut Explore Air 2 and a heat press. There are a TON of cool options for shirts available on Etsy, as well. It’s definitely a fun way to get into the spirit of the trip.
I’ve included FREE packing lists for you to use on your Disney trip! There are lists for kids of every age group AND a list for you to use if you’re going WITHOUT LITTLES (teens and/or adults only, this one is for you… 🙂 )
